Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn, who was born August 19, 1965 was an American actress. She is also a producer and director. She is most famous for her role as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). In her role as Johnson, Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in 2010. The series ended after the seventh season. Sedgwick is also famous for her role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, playing Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated for the Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's films roles include Oliver Stone's Born in July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Individuals (1992) as well as Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2011) are as well. Sedgwick is the daughter Patricia Rosenwald and is an educator, family therapist, venture capitalist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII Speech therapist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian and of English origin. Sedgwick identifies herself as Jewish, and she has claimed that she attends in Passover seders.
