Baylor was a place where I made many friends that have shaped my life. Dr. Karen Pope in the Art History department. My classes in my major were taken by Dr. Pope. We also traveled to Paris and Chicago in order to study the art. Her art classes were great fun, and a week does not go by without me recollecting her saying "Art History is a huge puzzle and we as historians constantly search for pieces to be able to connect." My father was in the car business and I was required to work at the dealership all summer. In one summer, I was employed as a mechanic's assistant, replacing brake pads as well as oil.
